Mobile Hoists

Mobile hoists are essential patient lifting equipment in care homes, hospitals and schools, helping service users move safely from a bed, chair or the floor while giving carers a secure way to work. Because a mobile patient hoist needs no fixed installation, it can be wheeled wherever a transfer is needed.

Medaco offers a wide range of mobile hoists, from folding mobile hoists and portable hoists that are easy to transport and store, to heavy-duty and bariatric mobile lifting equipment built for regular use in busy care settings. Our team can provide expert advice to help you choose the right hoist for the user’s needs and the environment where they will be lifted and transferred.

Yes. If your product is classified as lifting equipment under the UK’s Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and is used for lifting people, it must receive a thorough examination by a competent person before being put into service (unless a valid Declaration of Conformity and evidence of compliance removes the need for an initial examination), and then at the required intervals thereafter. Employers and equipment owners are responsible for ensuring compliance with LOLER.
