An emergency lifting cushion is an inflatable lifting cushion that raises a fallen person from the floor to a seated position, so they can stand again when ready. Powered by an air compressor and operated with a simple hand control, most can be used by a single carer, reducing the risk of injury. The Mangar ELK is recommended by UK NHS Ambulance Trusts and lifts up to 450 kg, the Mangar Camel suits bariatric users up to 320 kg with a built-in backrest, and the Mangar Eagle is a compact home model that both sits a person up and lifts them.

For emergency evacuation, our equipment helps move people downstairs and to safety without heavy lifting. Evacuation chairs such as the Exitmaster Original and Exit Master Versa Plus glide down stairs and store neatly on a wall bracket in the stairwell. For users who cannot sit, the Evacuation Sledge and Evacuation Sheet let a person be moved through doorways and down stairs while lying down.

The right product depends on the situation. For falls, choose an inflatable lifting cushion sized to the user’s weight and the space available.
