Key Responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining Medaco’s reputation for excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing specialist patient lifting and handling equipment.
- Conducting regular servicing and maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Delivering high standards of customer service across care homes, schools, hospices, and hospitals.
- Adhering to all regulations, including compliance with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998.
- Working safely and efficiently with minimal disruption to client operations.
Skills and Qualifications
We are seeking a professional engineer who meets the following criteria:
- Proven experience and knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to detail.
- Prior experience with medical or care equipment is preferred, though full training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- A full driving licence and the ability to travel long distances when required.
- Physical fitness to handle lifting and equipment transport tasks.
- An enhanced DBS check (required).
